JASPER ALABAMA- A perfect road trip to honor the
sacrifice and dedication of Walker County service men and women from the
Revolutionary War to the War in Afghanistan. The beautiful Bankhead House and
Heritage Center will host the richly displayed artifacts through December 27,
2013.

As a tribute to those from Walker County who have served in the military, the Bankhead House & Heritage Center proudly present this exhibit entitles" A Tribute to our Military".

-Ribbons and medals with artifacts from the war in Afganistan-
Hopefully this will be not only a tribute but an educational experience featuring artifacts from various wars dating back to the American Revolution. Through photographs, military attire, medals of honor, weaponry, and artifacts related to various United states military engagements, this exhibit presents the opportunity to view items only previously observed in the media or school related history class.

Veterans, reservists, and active duty military are the heart of our great nation. Millions of men and women have lost their lives in order to preserve our existence as a free nation. We salute and honor them with this exhibit of remembrance.
Admission is Free
Hours: Tuesday-Friday 10-4 and the third Saturday 10-2.
