FAIRHOPE AL- The Airport Authority has canceled the return
of the Festival of Flight due to the sequester-fueled grounding of military
aircraft. Past events, military and vintage planes flew in to participate,
drawing an estimated 15,000 people to city's H.L. "Sonny" Callahan Airport.
After a 3-year run the festival was canceled in 2009 due to uncertain sponsorship
during the recession according to news reports.
