Las Vegas NV- During the 47th Annual International Council of Air Shows convention, Greg Koontz announced a new scholarship coming in 2013. Certified Flight Instructors will soon be able to hone their aerobatic training skills with the best.

Koontz said, "Gifts to ICAS Foundation will support the scholarship and help people within our industry." CFIs interested in teaching aerobatics, which are qualified, will need to apply for the scholarship to be eligible.
An air show performer and instructor since 1974, Koontz has logged over 22,000 hours of flight time and over 7,000 as a CFI. He said he is pleased this scholarship is finally available and has been working on putting a plan together for some time.
