Earlier this month, ICAS member and World Air Show News Publisher Jeff Parnau was announced as the winner of the EAA Sweepstakes. The prize? A completely restored 1940 Piper J-3 Cub. According to EAA representatives, Parnau's winning ticket was selected from among 865,000 entries in the 2012 sweepstakes.
Parnau, who also owns a flight school in Wisconsin, proudly announced to EAA officials, "This fits perfectly. We're gonna make pilots with it." EAA opted to give away a Cub as the grand prize of its annual sweepstakes to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the legendary aircraft.
