Just this morning another round of TFRs started and it's only mid-July. But unless you operate from the DC or Chicago area you may not fully appreciate how operators are effected. TFRs can mean lost business, according to an NBAA article. This includes both fuel sales to FBOs and restricted corporate flight ops "stifling aviation" sometimes over a 3-day TFR event.
For personal summer flying, vacations and those traveling to AirVenture, take heed. FAA expects legal enforcements for pilots who violate a TFR that can range from a 30 day to a 90 day certificate suspension for a first time inadvertent offense.
Don't put yourself in a legal hassle and risk your pilot privileges. Flight plan and be alert to any changing enroute airspace restrictions. Call your local Flight Service Station at 1-800-WX-BRIEF for the latest info and details. FMI: TFR/FAA, NBAA, AOPA
