The Tennessee Aviation Hall of Fame Gala & Inductions Ceremony will again take place on November 9th at The Embassy Suites Hotel & Convention Center in Murfreesboro. Following last years successful event, moved to Middle Tennessee for the first time, the TAHF Board of Directors decided to remain in Murfreesboro. Chairman, John Black said, "Acceptance of the move to Middle Tennessee last year was very positive, so the Board decided to opt for this more central location again in 2013."
The Tennessee Aviation Hall of Fame is headquartered at the Tennessee Museum of Aviation, located on the airport in Sevierville. Every Gala for the past 10 years has been held in the museum's huge hangar amidst a magnificent collection of WWII Warbirds. The ambiance was extraordinary but as the museum's collection of aircraft and Gala attendance have grown, producing the event has become much more difficult. TAHF Founder Bob Minter said, "It takes two solid weeks to prepare for and then move out the equipment required to produce the Gala at the museum. It is a huge burden on the museum staff. Museum founder Neal Melton& I agreed that both the museum and the Gala have outgrown the hangar." Following the enshrinement ceremony, inductee's plaques are placed on display at the Tennessee Museum of Aviation.
