OSH AirVenture- As if the excitement of
AirVenture 2013 was not enough, the remaining weeks and days increase in press
releases and announcements lead to a grand opening crescendo. Chicago is back, ready to rock Opening Night
Concert 'Jazz-infused' rock legends' concert on Monday, July 29 presented by
Ford Motor Company.

"Ford is proud to be the sole automotive partner with EAA for more than a decade and pleased to enhance the experience for everyone attending EAA AirVenture Oshkosh," said Kevin Keling, North America corporate events manager for Ford Motor Company. "Chicago performed a great show in 2010 and we're excited they will return for this year's opening night concert to start a sensational week at aviation's annual reunion in Oshkosh."

Hollywood blockbusters and
stirring documentaries will be part of this year's Fly-In Theater at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, presented by Ford Motor Company.
The outdoor theater, located adjacent to EAA's Camp Scholler camping area, will
be open each evening (weather permitting) throughout AirVenture week. The
walk-in theater is reminiscent of the famous drive-in theaters of the past,
complete with open-air seating and popcorn! There is no admission charge
and is open for all AirVenture guests. Each evening's show begins at
approximately 8:30 p.m. with an introduction by a celebrity presenter, followed
by a classic aviation film shown on a five story high projection screen. Among
the performances is the grand premiere of
Disney's Planes, Friday 2
August.
Each day Ford Motor Company host plenty of fun, family activities; Meet Henry Ford, in celebration of the 150th anniversary, who will act as Master of ceremonies for the Ford Hangar, Model T experience, Rock Wall and Trampoline, RC Racing Track and much more.
The engineering and design teams at Ford Motor Company have produced a unique U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds Edition 2014 Ford Mustang GT. This car will be donated by Ford to be sold at the Gathering of Eagles charity event on Thursday, Aug. 1 during AirVenture Oshkosh. A One-of-a-kind 2014 Ford Mustang design inspired by 60th anniversary of acclaimed U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds will be sold at charity auction. All proceeds from the car donation and sale will benefit the EAA Young Eagles program, which has provided free introductory flights to more than 1.6 million young people since 1992, helping inspire and motivate the next generation of leaders, aviators and innovators.
