MOBILE AL- Last week members from eight states
of the Southeast Section of the Ninety Nines International Organization of
Women Pilots landed in historic Mobile Alabama for their Spring meeting. Discussed
was planning for the 2014 International Conference in New Orleans, July 9-12 in
addition to chapter activities. The SE
Section Ninety Nines Fall meeting will be September 27-29 in Biloxi, MS.
While visiting the home of the original Mardi Gras City, members toured the USS Battleship Alabama and Aviation Museum. One of the newer exhibits was the Douglas AD-4 Skyraider forfeited to the US Government.
Continental Motors hosted the Ninety Nines for lunch, a factory tour and seminar on the Care and Feeding of your Engine with Bill Ross and Robin Tillery.
Before departing the bay area, the group toured the Carnival Museum that highlights the history of Mardi Gras in its true birthplace - Mobile Alabama. For more information on the Alabama Ninety Nines or to become a member go to:
