BIRMINGAHM AL- A large number of Birmingham Zonta Club and International Organization of Women Pilots members and guests gathered at the YWCA downtown today for their 16th annual fundraiser. The luncheon event is held to benefit the Birthplace Museum of Amelia Earhart. Both the Ninety Nines and Zonta Club were founded by Earhart.

Distinguished speaker Cheryl Stearns, Airline Captain and the most highly awarded Parachutist in the world told the gathering how she got her start in aviation. From a member of the prestigious Golden Knights to over 18,000 skydives, the most of any woman in the world. She holds numerous championships and world records. - B Meyer
