Enterprise Aviation Expo is aiming to be better and even more entertaining this year. David Shultz Airshows will bring airshow performers to the airport on April 20th. The Thunder in the Valley Air show began in 1997 as a local fly-in for aviation enthusiasts and has grown to become one of the largest outdoor family events in the Chattahoochee Valley. The Columbus Metro- CSG Air Show brings in top performers from across the United States. National attention has been given to the Thunder in the Valley Air Show by the International Council of Air Shows for excellence in Marketing. The Thunder on the Valley Air Show on March 16-17 is a fun, family friendly event that is both alcohol and tobacco free. A big air show is coming to the Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport -KJAN this year to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the airport in Rankin County, MS. It's a joint effort between the Jackson Municipal Airport Authority and the 172nd Military Airlift Wing of the Mississippi Air National Guard. The Blue Angels, U.S. Navy Aerial Demonstration Team will be there, just as they were back in 1997 at the old Sky Parade. Efforts are being made to get other military aircraft such as the F-15 and F-16. One of the most popular air show acts that have performed here, Tora, Tora, Tora, which is a re-enactment of the attack on Pearl Harbor, will be performing along with Aeroshell Aerobatic Team, AirPros, Texas T-Cart Airshows and more.
