Las Vegas NV- This year's 46th International Council of Airshows Convention exhibit hall features 234 exhibitors on 60,000+ square feet of exhibit space and hosts more than 1,500 air show professionals. It will also be the center of activity for this year's ICAS Convention. ICAS members rated the convention exhibit hall the single most important program that ICAS offers.
The immortal monster of dreams and nightmares takes the form of a new biplane and a thrilling airshow act. Dracula has the bold look and sound of a 1930's racing airplane with a custom paint job that looks like something from the opening scene of a horror movie. The debut of Dracula has been anticipated by Kyle's audience for years. Showing off his marketing skills, Kyle finished the airplane in secrecy. As evidence of Kyle's reputation as a performer, over fifteen air shows booked the act without ever seeing even a picture of the illusive airplane. FMI: http://www.franklinairshow.com/
-Kylr Franklin introduces "Dracula" at 2012 ICAS-
According to ICAS President, Jon Cudahy, this year's convention offers members 54 different educational sessions over four days on topics ranging from safety and operations to marketing and public relations. New and different sessions on Safety Management System philosophy and Pilot Safety Stand down with much more issues addressed. ICAS is the professional air show industry association and holds an annual convention that represents all the moving pieces that make an airshow possible. All manner of services and air show entertainment is booked annually at the meeting exhibits. During the annual meeting, the ICAS Foundation hosts their Air Show Hall of Fame Induction and ICAS Air Show awards.
-Circus of the Machines- Viper Airshows features extreme aerobatics, unbelievable speed and an incredible stunt motorcycle act. FMI: http://www.viperairshows.com/
-Jet powered John, part of the Indy Boys package of jet powered vehicles including a school bus and the Snoop Jet Doghouse, FMI: http://www.indyboysinc.com/
In post-convention delegate surveys going back many years, the exhibit hall is routinely identified as the most compelling reason to attend the event each year. As one ICAS veteran recently observed, "If the education sessions are the brains of our convention, then the exhibit hall is its heart." Beginning at 10:30 a.m., the products and services of this year's exhibitors will take center stage as ICAS offers the first of four exhibit sessions. The 2012 ICAS Convention runs through December 13 at the Paris Las Vegas Hotel. -Staff Report, Alabama Aviator images,
