Washington, DC - On Tuesday, April 10, 2012, the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will provide an investigative update on the fatal crash of a modified Mustang P-51D airplane during the 2011 National Championship Air Races in Reno, Nevada.
The pilot of the P-51D and 10 spectators at the race were killed. During the press conference, the NTSB will release several safety recommendations directly related to improving safety at future National Championship Air Races.
