Making his air show debut last year, Jim Achord of Tennessee Valley Air Center in Courtland, Alabama, flew his Pitts S1S acro demo routine in the Tuscaloosa USN Blue Angel Airshow last weekend. The first day of the Tuscaloosa Regional Air Show had an estimated 75,000 spectators who came to the airport to see flight demonstrations, aircraft displays and to participate in activities. Flying in a big air show is a dream come true but Jim knows air shows from just about every angle.
