-LAS VEGAS NV-The 2011 International Council of Air Shows Convention, held in Las Vegas is officially underway with the Monday morning opening general session. The session, sponsored by Jim Peitz Aerosports, was attended by the single largest gathering of air show professionals in the world.

Included in the two hour program was a inspiring live performance by country music recording artist and avid aviator Dwayne O'Brien of his song, "We Remember." The session included the first announcement of the 2012 U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds schedule, the 2013 Blue Angels schedule, the 2013 Royal Canadian Air Force Snowbirds schedule, and the 2012 U.S. Army Golden Knights schedule by ICAS President, John Cudahy.
Bob Hoover takes the stage along with David Hartman as he reflects on his experiences and friendships over his legendary career during ICAS Las Vegas annual convention.
For a full hour, David Hartman, former host of ABC's Good Morning, interviewed Bob about his aviation career, his escape from a German WW II camp and his perspective on the evolution of the air show business over the last half-century. Hoover recalled the early days of ICAS when he said the membership would fit inside a DC-3. Since 1967 when ICAS was formed, it has grown into a robust trade association with more than 850 members and an annual convention that attracts 1,700 air show professionals from all over the world.
